A One-Day Adults Literacy Teachers TRAINING WorkShop ended on Thursday, March 12, with about fifty teachers participating.
The workshop which was organized by a local NGO ALFALIT INTERN
TIONAL, LIBERIA INCORPORATED based in Monrovia, was intended to train teachers who will teach illiterate people how to read and write.
According to the senior Co-ordinator of Alifat, Pastor Jerome Williams, when illiterate peolpe are literate the dream of the Liberian Government to reduce poverty (PRS) the Poverty Reduction Strategy will be achieved.
He says education is one of government’s major pillars in its strive to reduce poverty.
Pastor Williams asserted that the motto for Alfalit is taking people from ‘Darkness to Light’.
